In addition to the music there is a 300 page fully illustrated hard cover book with commentary, discographies, and details of recording sessions. It adds up to a nice companion piece to the music.

Elvis released some of the most important music of the 20th century. A number of his soundtracks may have been clunkers but for better or worse, they are a part of the his legacy.

Yes, there are some omissions. I miss the Legendary Performer Series, and particularly the 1976 release, The Sun Sessions, but that is just nit-picking.

With Elvis it always comes back to the music and there is a lot of music here. The set sells in the $300 range, which is about $5.00 an album. which is pretty good.

If you want most everything by Elvis in one place, then this is a set for you.
