Cloud Productions 2015

Review by David Bowling

I can safely say that in all my years as a music critic, I have never reviewed an album by a Romanian artist. That streak now comes to an end with Aylin Cadir.

She was the winner of the first Romanian Idol television competition and has been commercially successful in her home country with the release of two albums and 10 singles. Now she has released Cloud in the United States.

Her new album is a cross between pop and light jazz. She has a clear voice that can be both sultry and smooth. Tracks such as “Party For Two,” “Chemistry,” “Sweet Little Love” and the title track have an easy going flow as they range from the slow and moody to the peppy.

Aylin Cadir has released a good introductory album that highlights her positive points. She will be touring the United States this summer.
